Just leave me to my art

Marker from her head to her toes.

Last night Larsen got into some markers for about the 100th time. I took some pictures of her so you can see what a mess she is. If she is not in sight she is into something. She requires constant supervision.

A model in the making

Candlelight breakfast on a stormy Sunday morning

Larsen climbing on her bed
Tropical Storm Fay came through on Sunday. Kelly had awakened because of the wind. He made the kids come down stairs and get in our bed. It rained most of the day and night. We did not go to church. I just did not want to get out in all that weather. We had a candlelight breakfast. At about 1:00 Kelly, Kaylie, and Sawyer went to the deercamp. Larsen and I stayed home all day. We never left the house. I took that opportunity to take pictures of Larsen. I dressed her in few different outfits. She got tired of the camera after about the fourth outfit.

Weekends at the Carpenters

We are never going to get through cleaning up storm damage.
Kristie and Isabelle stopped by for a visit. Larsen wanted her red drink. We went to Sudie's for supper with Kristie and Isabelle.

Sawyer is doing a flip.

Sawyer is mastering the use of a drill.

This past weekend we did a lot of work around the house. I painted some shelves. Kelly cut wood. Sawyer helped Kelly for a while. He also rode his skate board and the fourwheeler. He learned how to use a drill and enjoyed working with it so much. Sawyer and Larsen also enjoyed some time on the trampoline.

Happiness is a majic marker

That marker did not come off those new shoes.
She had been out of the tub for about 10 minutes.
Larsen is constantly getting into something upstairs. She loves to go in Kaylie's and Sawyer's room. She has gotten into paint and marker at least 20 times. Kaylie's carpet is ruined. We are going to let Larsen get a little bit older and then we are going to have to replace all the carpet. This past weekend she got into blue paint and got it all over herself and the carpet in Kaylie's room. In Sawyer's room she got ito some Halloween paint/makeup and covered herself and the carpet with it. I have never taken pictures of her when she has done those things because I get so furious but last night when she got into some markers I made mayself take a picture.

First Day of School

They were excited about the first day of school.

Kaylie and Sawyer started back to school on August 11. So far things are going well. Sawyer has said that he likes Mrs. Selman very much. Kaylie loves Mrs. Gaddy. I expect for both of them to have a great year.

The kids

Larsen and Sawyer sleeping.
Kaylie taking pictures of herself.
Larsen helping me do the gardening.
Larsen and Memaw taking a stroll.
Larsen and Sawyer in the tub.

Sawyer rocking out with Ben and Jake Smith.
After the school play.
Larsen is the worst of the three kids when it comes to getting into everything.

My sister-in-law in Guatemala asked me to post pictures of the kids doing just routine things because they miss the kids so much. So here are some everday pics.

Pageant

Look how grown up she is!

Well, we went to the pageant on Saturday. Kaylie looked beautiful but she did not place. They had a first alternate and the winner in her age group. Two of her friends, Elizabeth (winner) and Hannah, were first alternate and winner. She enjoyed it and said that she would like to participate in another pageant. I thought she would be more disappointed but she had a great attitude.

Preparing for Pageant

On Saturday morning, August 9, 2008, Kaylie is going to be in a beauty pageant sponsored by the highschool cheerleaders. Kaylie has never been in a pageant before. She is looking forward to it. Last night Kristie Prine came over and practiced on Kaylie's hair. Kaylie was beautiful when Kristie was finished.
