Leaving Guatemala City

We left Guatemala City on March 17 and headed to Coban where David and Regina live. I took several photos from the car. I tried to get shots of the real city life. There are millions upon millions of people living in Guatemala City. It is not a very large place. As you can see the houses are stacked on top of each there. They can build on every hill side.
Guatemala City looks very industrial to me. Everything is made of concrete. Most doors and winds have gates and bars over them.
Have you ever seen so many houses in one place?
The women of Guatemala are very talented at carrying things on their heads.
Every store, shop, restaurant, and parking lot in Guatemala City has an armed guard with a sawed off shot gun. Guatemala City can be a very dangerous place. One must be careful and vigilant in Guatemala City.
Most of the shops have bars and a small hole that you shop through.
The buses of Guatemala City are red. They are always FULL of people. They are the source of public transportation. There is no heat or air.
Larsen and Regina where we stopped for lunch. We had sandwiches and drinks.
The kids are standing next to a coconut tree. It is not the same type of coconut that you find in Hawii.
David, Robin, Larsen, Kaylie, Sawyer, and Linda
